The Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant is located 18 miles north of Two Rivers, Wisconsin. It is a one-unit, pressured water reactor, rated at 574 megawatt capacity that is in excellent material condition.

The plant began commercial operation in June 1974. The plant is a seven-time winner of the award of excellence from the INPO and received perfect marks in the NRC evaluation process in 1989 and 1995. Kewaunee recently set two plant records in 2000 a consecutive run record of 511 days since its last refueling outage and operated every day of 1999. No lost time work accidents in 2000. |
